These fantastic wines come to us from a vineyard of 10 hectares near Acate, in the territory of Vittoria. This estate has a wide variety of produce including fruits and vegetables being cultivated as well as the main portion being designated to Cerasuolo di Vittoria. A tradition of hand harvesting an annual crop is still being done since generations before machinery or chemicals were readily available. In 2004 at Biscarl Castle in Acate, this family met Nicolas Joly, the French wine producer and father of bio-dynamics for the first time, who convinced them to convert their small organic company into a biodynamic operation.
These grapes are hand-harvested at the end of September and aged for six months in steel tanks and another three months in the bottle. Very light ruby red color. Fragrant, fresh and overflowing odor of red fruits, bilberries, raspberries and mulberries.
